Rapid Re-Housing

Moving Out

Shelter residents work with their case manager and therapist to set up and transition smoothly into long-term support services.  We ensure that residents are set up for long-term success, beyond the time they spend in our shelter.

Residents also work with their case manager who will help determine if they are eligible to become a participant in one of our housing programs.

RISE

Our Resources for Independence and Security and Empowerment program is designed for rapid re-housing.

Eligible participants in this program work with our housing team to find safe, stable, and affordable housing that meets their current needs.

Program participants are provided one-time assistance with move-in costs.  On their fourth full month in the program, participants are responsible to pay a portion of their rent based on their current income.

Rental assistance and support services are provided for up to 12 months with the possibility to extend up to a total of 24 months in the program.

BEST

The Building and Establishing Security Through Housing program at S.A.F.E. House provides rental assistance and supportive services to eligible participants.

B.E.S.T. participants work closely with the housing team to locate safe and affordable housing.

In the B.E.S.T. Program, participants are required to cover all initial move-in costs.  B.E.S.T. participants are assisted with the full cost of rent for the housing unit.

B.E.S.T. Participants work with the housing team towards increasing their income, housing stability,  and other self-identified goals for up to 12 months.

Move-Out

Boxes

Housing is a primary goal for residents of the shelter. From their first day at S.A.F.E. House, survivors are encouraged to find a new safe, permanent place to live.

This is not a small task. And S.A.F.E. House works to do everything possible to make it an easy transition.

This includes providing move-out supplies. This can include cleaning supplies, non-perishable foods, linens, air mattresses, and more.
