Service Learning
Because of the ongoing increase in COVID-19 cases, we will be suspending all volunteerism at S.A.F.E. House at this time. Please follow us on social media and check back on our website as things progress.
A Unique Service Learning Experience
Completing your service-learning at S.A.F.E. House is a great way to end your high school career! High school seniors commit to working with S.A.F.E. House staff in four separate departments in equal increments. At the end of the service-learning project, participants are asked to write a 500-word essay about their experience!
Students will attend a volunteer orientation prior to beginning their experience. Volunteer orientation dates can be previewed on our Events Page.
Because of the nature of the work done at S.A.F.E. House, service learners must:
-
Be a senior in high school
-
Adhere to the physical safety protocols
-
Adhere to confidentiality practices
-
Attend a volunteer orientation
-
Be inoculated against COVID-19
-
Have a parent or legal guardian's signature to participate
