Our Resources for Independence and Security and Empowerment program is designed for rapid, temporary re-housing.
Participants in this program work with our housing team and their case manager to find a safe, stable place to stay after their time in the shelter.
S.A.F.E. House covers the move-in costs for participants. Once they have moved in, participants are required to use 30% of their income to pay for rent.
Participants can remain in this program for 12 months. After 12 months, they can apply for extension in 3-month increments for up to a total 24 months in the program.
The Building and Establishing Security Through Housing program at S.A.F.E. House provides rental assistance to participants.
With this program, participants work with our staff and their case manager to find a safe new home.
With BEST, participants are required to cover move-in costs.
S.A.F.E. House covers 100% of their rent for 12 months thereafter while the participant works with their case manager to graduate from the program.
Housing is our number one goal for residents of the shelter. From their first day at S.A.F.E. House, survivors are working to find a new safe place to live.
This is not a small task. And S.A.F.E. House works to do everything possible to make it an easy transition.
This includes providing move-out supplies. This can include cleaning supplies, non-perishable foods, linens, air mattresses, and more.
